The funicular ride from the valley station in Zermatt to Sunnegga takes just 4.5 minutes. The railway, fully renovated in 2013, leads up a rock tunnel through the inside of the mountain to this sunny, scenic terrace with incomparable views of the Matterhorn. Marmots playground: the marmot-watching station is just a few minutes walk from Sunnegga, and promises an unforgettable experience for the whole family. A theme trail reveals fascinating facts about these charming mammals, which live in burrows high in the Alps. Zermatts beach: families adore coming up to the crystal clear waters of the Leisee. This is the top spot for an outdoor swim in Zermatt, complete with childrens playground and barbecue areas. Children love playing on the big raft and splashing around in the water while adults relax and enjoy the glorious view of the Matterhorn.

At the Leisee lake there is a playground with a bathing beach, convenient barbecue sites and a legendary panorama.

Wolli, Zermatts black nosed sheep and mascot, loves to go climbing and sunning himself in the fresh mountain air. That is why it feels so good to be at the Wolli Adventure Park by the Leisee lake! The park is suitable for children and young people up to 15 years of age and has slides, climbing framwoes and swings as well as a small clean stream where the children can play. This idyllic mountain lake is perfect for a refreshing dip, while the more adventurous can use the wire rope to pull themselves across the water while sitting on a wooden raft. There are great views of the Matterhorn and the Weisshorn from the shores of the lake.
